Mage is your best option against them, use anti dragon shield and extended antifire and they can't touch you. Even with mage the kills take a stupid amount of time so you should probably just block though. Iron and Steel Dragons are the worst tasks in the game. Block em. Ranged.anti-dragon shield, extended antifires, flick pray melee.. you'll take no damage. If you were ever going to skip a task, this is it. You are going to lose money and get very slow XP on this assignment if you are low level, that's all there is to it. If you can't just skip the thing, pick your best skill between range/mage and use it to kill them.
