Burning corpses is the best method of getting rid of those mountains of dead zombies in Project Zomboid. The campfire is surely the right way of doing it without potentially harming yourself or the environment. While the other two methods are effective but there is a risk of getting hurt. build a campfire, ideally on surface where the fire wont spread across overgrown grass or wooden floors, then pick up corpse one by one and place them over the camp fire and then place planks or a log as fuel for the fire and light it up to burn the dead. Yeah just burn them. Lots of corpses around can cause your character to become sick. Not terminally unless you are sitting on the floor with them. Discussing how sick you feel. Nut still has some pretty negative debuffs. Alternately. You can just pike them up out the way and and don't go near them unless dropping more corpses in the pile

Oct 5, 2020 · Bad food, getting too wet and cold, exposure to large amounts of corpses for long periods of time are all things that can make you sick. If you get wounded by a zombie you can get sick, and in that case you're probably dead. Corpses rot away in 2 weeks with default settings, from what I can tell. Maybe less time.

So you can just set that to a really low value and they will quickly disappear. If you have an existing game save then you might be able to update the value and have it take effect but I am not certain. If you try, please backup your whole save! You can find it in the map_sand.bin file called HoursForCorpseRemoval.

Like you pick up the walk onto the campfire tile, drop the corpse. "Easy corpse move" mod that makes grabbing and dumping bodies into a cursor action helps a lot. Visually the bodies might show as just north-west of the fire. This is fine. Once all the bodies are piled up, start the fire. Yiu need 10 minutes of burn.
