Predator 212 governor removal before and after.
White smoke out the exhaust and full throttle. I recently took out the governor on my stage 1 predator 212. I think I got oil in either the piston cylinder or in the carb because the exhaust blows out white smoke. How can I get rid of this?Also when I turn on the engine and take it off choke it goes full throttle.

DIYWilly • 1 yr. ago. Definitely take all the parts of the governor out including the arm. Don’t take the chance of interference inside. It’s an easy process. As long as you leave the stock valve spring you shouldn’t blow it up. The valve will float first. Can damage things if they float too long but you’ll hear them and just back off ... The rules at a particular track we plan to run say the governor cannot be removed but it can be unhooked. We have found them cracked on brand new engines that have not been touched.
