It will not set the same code for camshaft sensor error, that has its own set of codes for crankshaft errors. This hasn't happened before, but here's what went down: Turned the key and heard a single click up near the engine compartment. Starter didn't turn the engine over at all or even try. I tapped the starter a bit hoping it was a stuck solenoid or something, no luck. Tried jumping the battery, no luck.

I have a 2002 duramax 2500hd, The truck will only start with starting fluid, When i shut it off after its been running for a while i can start it up no problem. When it sits for about 1hr then i have to use starting fluid again. Theres lots of cranking power, brand new glow plugs, new fuel filter.It’s losing prime. See if the fuel filter is loose, or if the housing has fuel on top of it. If it starts after priming and there aren’t any visible leaks, replace the filter housing.

Remote and dash button cause the same start cycle. (dash button does not have to be held, just 'push and release') Both send a signal to the bcm/ecm, which manage the start cycle. If it doesn't start, the crank command will time-out. Pushing the button the second time does not stop the cycle. It runs til time-out.

When I release the key everything comes back. I get service 4x4, service stabilitrak, service traction control. No illuminated DTCs. But when I use the autocal it pulls up a few codes. Which I will attach in a picture. I pulled every fuse (there were a few blown) but this didn't help. Does anyone have an idea where to start?

Hey John, FYI I found out the injectors NEED minimum 1500 PSI of rail pressure to open, at least the LML with piezo injectors do, and I'd bet the older ones do too. I've got plenty of tips and suggestions for making it as easy as possible.Question: Will not having my radiator, core support, intercooler hooked up allow for the truck to crank but no start? Try Disconnecting the batteries and on the driver side hold both terminal wires together for 1 minute.
