The nature of the witness marks made me question in my own mind the authenticity of the barrels on some of my collection, and I corresponded with other collectors to explore the topic--a feeling of misgiving, without particular direction.The 30 Luger is bottle necked and has, obviously, a bore of about 30 caliber. The two chamberings are so different that it should be fairly obvious what you have. If you have one, get a 9mm Luger cartridge and see if it fits into the chamber of the removed barrel.
