There is no longer “a best weapon” like there was in 2.8 and prior. for pve, 2hand swords,katanas,2 hand maces, and 1hand axe imo.

Weapon wise, poison has been nerfed pretty bad and that was one of the quickest ways to kill non undead bosses. Katanas are still horrifically strong in PvE, even stronger than before it seems. Due to this I feel Agility builds are arguebly better than strength in PvE, though that may be biased.
